FETAC Level 4 Handling Food Hygienically Course has been designed to meet the standards and requirements of the FSAI (Food Safety Authority of Ireland). At Guardian Safety we have designed the FETAC level 4 Handling Food Hygienically course to give each participant a confident understanding of the food safety requirements when handling food and how to manage records using the principles of HACCP.
On successfully receiving certification in FETAC level 4 handling food hygienically, each participant will be equipped with the skill, competence and knowledge to prepare and handle food safely and hygienically in all food environments.
FETAC Level 4 Handling Food Hygienically Course Content:-
- The importance of food hygiene
- Correct food storage
- The process in dealing with deliveries
- Hygienic food preparation
- The importance of personal hygiene
- The importance of workplace hygiene
- The principles of HACCP
- Refrain from unhygienic practices in food reduction.
- Complete a range of basic food safety documents and records.

Who Should Attend
This FETAC Level 4 Handling Food Hygienically training course is designed for all learners who require an awareness of food hygiene and HACCP within the work environment. People who are involved in food preparation, service of food, handling and storage of food within a wide range of industries including the hotel and catering industry, the care industry, restaurants/takeaways etc… Any employees whose job entails the handling and/or preparation of food.
Participants will be assessed on practical skills demonstrations (20%) and by written theory examination (80%). Written tests will take place at the end of each module over the course of the 2 days.
